Jn 13:16-20
[When Jesus had washed the disciples’ feet, he said to them,] 16“Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it. 18I am not speaking of all of you. I know those whom I have chosen. But so that the scripture might be fulfilled, ‘The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.’ 19From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM. 20Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”

IF YOU UNDERSTAND THIS, BLESSED ARE YOU. Part of achieving peace in our hearts is to know our place in this world. You are a son and not the father. Understand this and you will be blessed. Time will come when you will be the father and you will have a son. Until that time, act as a son and not as the father. You are an employee and not the boss. So do not behave as if you were the boss. Time may come when you will be your own manager. But till that time comes, recognize your place in the organizational chart and you will be spared a lot of stress. We are God’s creatures. We are not God. Our role is to pray and pay homage. It is not ours to command and dictate to God. Understand that and you will be blessed.
And know and respect the position of others, too, so that you will live a long and peaceful life in this world.
